Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process titled "Sheffield's Working 2018-2019" is being conducted by Sheffield City Council. This initiative, under the education and training services category, aims to support vulnerable residents in Sheffield, particularly those who are long-term unemployed or at risk of unemployment. The open procurement method allows submissions until 28th August 2018, with the contract effective from 1st October 2018 until 30th September 2019. This contract is valued at £709,890 and covers projects across various localities within the Yorkshire and the Humber region.

This tender presents significant growth opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) that specialise in employment services, training, or community support. Businesses focusing on aiding vulnerable groups, especially those with experience in mental health, learning difficulties, and community engagement, would be particularly well-suited to compete for this contract. The project is divided into eight distinct lots, allowing various organisations to bid for specific areas of service delivery, thereby fostering collaboration and innovation in tackling unemployment in the region.
