Summary of the contracting process

The Crescent Purchasing Consortium (CPC) is seeking to establish a Framework Agreement for the provision of legal services through the tender titled "CA4435 - Legal Services Framework". This procurement process is targeting the public sector across the UK, with a focus on central government departments, local authorities, NHS bodies, and educational establishments among others. The procurement is currently in the Award stage, with the contract period starting on 13th April 2018 and concluding on 31st March 2021. The estimated value of the framework is £46 million, and the open procedure for tenders closed on 5th January 2018, after which suppliers were selected across fourteen regional lots.

This framework presents significant opportunities for law firms, especially those that specialise in public sector work and can accommodate the extensive requirements of diverse contracting authorities. There is potential for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to participate, as the framework will allow a maximum of six suppliers per regional lot, enhancing competition and variety in service provision. Businesses with experience in providing legal advisory services to public sector entities will be particularly well-suited to compete for a place in this framework, thereby driving growth and establishing a robust portfolio in public procurement.
