Notice Description

Gressenhall Workhouse, a Grade II listed building, is part of the Norfolk Museum Services. It is situated approximately 1 mile from the village of Gressenhall and 3 miles from the town of Dereham. The building dates back to 1777 when built as a 'House of Industry' (Workhouse), to provide a home and work to the rural poor who were otherwise unable to obtain work. The Council is seeking to appoint a Main Contractor to undertake building fabric repairs and improvements in accordance with the specification and scope contained within the tender pack. Full details of the requirement can be found in the Service Specification, which forms a Schedule to the Terms and Conditions.
