A66 Northern Trans-Pennine (NTP) - Ullswater Community College Fencing

Notice Description

Kier Transportation are looking to engage experienced and qualified contractors to carry out fencing works pertaining to our Ullswater Community College package. Due to the proximity to the new A66, a ball catch fence is being provided to the South of the pitch. The remainder of the plot is being provided with security fencing, and a railing fence to the top of a retaining wall. The following specifications must be adhered to: * 126m minimum 5.0m high wire panel fence - Rebound 686 or similar * 469m 2.0m high mesh fencing containing 1 set Double leaf Gate - 3.0m opening * 111m 1.15m high railing - Tangorail TR800 * All to be RAL 6005 The A66 upgrade will see single-lane sections of the 80km stretch between the M6 and the A1 made into dual carriageway, while key junctions will be improved. The A66 project is to be delivered in collaboration by three Tier 1 contractors, Balfour Beatty, Kier and Aureos. We will use the Build UK Common Assessment Criteria (CAS) to ensure a consistent minimum business competence.
