High Flow Generators
Notice Description
Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is having a product demonstration day w/c 4th March 2019. We would like potential suppliers to come and demonstrate their product in a 1 hour timeslot for the Trust to get an understanding of what is currently on the market. As a minimum we require all products demonstrated to have the following: Essential qualities for a high flow generator: * Must be able to deliver a variable mixture of air & oxygen to 100% oxygen with a maximum flow rate of 120-140 litres * Must have an integral oxygen analyser with LCD display, calibration function and adjustable high / low oxygen concentration alarms with mute function and visual alarm indicator * Must be portable i.e. usable in CT / X-ray or on a cylinder during transfer * If requires mains electrical power must have rechargeable battery function with battery capacity display * Must be robust * Must be easy to use and set up * Fittings must be secure and do not appear to disconnect easily, reducing risk of damage to or incorrect assembly of equipment * Must not be overly noisy - I believe the WHO recommends maximum values of 30-40db Desirable qualities for a High flow generator * An actual display of the flow being delivered * Adjustable audible and visual indication (+/- mute function) of some or all of the following alarm conditions - circuit disconnect / leak / apnoea / flow / circuit pressure * Integrated PEEP setting If you would like the opportunity to demonstrate your equipment or require any further details, please contact Liam Batty on 01142266801 or liam.batty@sth.nhs.uk.
