St Austell A30 Link Road
Notice Description
The Council is seeking to procure a Contractor under an NEC3 ECC (Design and Build) Contract for the construction of a new section of Road that links St. Austell to the A30 via the China Clay area. The Contractor will be expected to take a pre- planning reference design and produce a detailed design as well as undertaking the subsequent construction of the road. The preferred route will be 6.2 kilometres in length and will comprise a 10m wide single carriageway designed to a 60 mph design speed with climbing lanes on steeper gradient sections. The route requires 42.8 hectares of land for construction and total scheme cost is estimated at PS60 million. Suppliers can access and download (free of charge) all the procurement documents and scheme details at www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk.
