Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process involves Birmingham City Council inviting tenders for the "QU341 - Faith-based Communities support for Covid-19 Campaign". This initiative focuses on the provision of public health support and messaging to faith-based communities in Birmingham, which include Islam, Sikhism, Hinduism, and various African and interfaith groups. The procurement stage is at the Award phase, with the contract commencing on 19th October 2020 and concluding on 18th April 2021. The submission deadline for tenders was at noon on 15th September 2020, and the award value was set at £11,000.

This tender presents an excellent opportunity for businesses, particularly those within the health services and community support sectors, to engage with diverse faith communities. Organisations that specialise in outreach and health communication, particularly those with experience in delivering messages to ethnic and religious minorities, would be well-suited to compete. Businesses that can demonstrate established connections within these communities or that are part of a partnership bid are encouraged to explore this opportunity for potential growth and collaboration in public health initiatives.
