Summary of the contracting process

The Victoria and Albert Museum is seeking tenders for an X-ray Computed Radiography System under an open procurement process. This tender, classified under the CPV code for X-ray devices, is currently in the tender stage, with submissions due by 27th November 2020. The system is intended for use in London, and the total estimated value of the procurement ranges from £50,000 to £100,000. The contract period is set to commence on 1st January 2021 and will run until 31st December 2024. Please note that the budget for this project has yet to be confirmed, making it contingent upon receiving the necessary funding.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in medical equipment, particularly those with capabilities in providing complete 'turn-key' solutions that include hardware, firmware, and software. Companies experienced in preventive maintenance services could also be advantageous, given the inclusion of a one-year warranty and four years of preventive maintenance in the proposal requirements. The tender is also suitable for voluntary, community, and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations, signalling the museum's interest in promoting inclusive procurement practices.
