EUROPEAN SOCIAL FUND PROVISION 2014-2020 IP 1.1 SUPPLY OF SKILLS SUPPORT FOR THE UNEMPLOYED
Notice Description
The activities will support unemployed individuals aged 16 plus with individualised programmes of learning and support, to overcome identified barriers to participation in education and support their transition toward sustained employment. The provision will be offered through a single Lot of activity at Investment Priority (IP) and LEP level, we intend to enter in to two Contracts for transitional and more developed, a single Contract for each of the areas within this lot (York, North Yorkshire & East Riding - Transitional and York, North Yorkshire & East Riding - More Developed) with the Applicant who submits the most economically advantageous tender for this Lot. The precise value and scope of the Lot is still to be agreed with individual Local Enterprise Partnerships and their ESIF Committees and therefore the estimated value is based upon expressions of interest from LEPs and could be subject to change. Additional information: The ESF is part of the European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF) Growth Programme for England in 2014 to 2020. The European Commission (EC) owns these programmes and sets the Europe-wide ESF Programme requirements. The EC governs this Programme through its rules and regulations. In England, the Department for Work and Pensions Managing Authority manages this. The Managing Authority will deliver the Programme's priorities in England to increase labour market participation, promote social inclusion and develop the skills of the potential and existing workforce. The ESF is designed to increase sustainable economic and social inclusion in the European Union, by helping people who have difficulties finding work, and improving the skills of the workforce.
