Summary of the contracting process

The University of Salford is seeking tenders for the procurement of infrared cameras as part of the Energy House 2 project, a cutting-edge building physics test laboratory located in Salford, England. This project, partially funded by the ERDF, aims to commence construction in November 2020, with an expected duration of twelve months. The tender period is currently open, concluding on 2nd October 2020. The expected contract value is between £60,000 and £80,000, classified under the CPV code 38651000 for cameras. The procurement method is an open procedure, allowing for broader competition in this service category.

This tender represents a valuable opportunity for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) focused on camera technology and related services to engage in a prominent project that enhances building testing facilities. Companies that specialise in innovative imaging solutions, particularly those with experience in environmental testing applications, would be well-positioned to participate. With the project's unique requirements for temperature management and environmental simulation, suppliers with advanced technical capabilities and a commitment to quality would likely find themselves highly competitive in this procurement process.
