Summary of the contracting process

NHS England is initiating the "Future Service Programme Supplier Engagement Event" as part of its planning stage, focusing on IT services and computing supplies. The event will take place on 19th November 2019 in Leeds. This event aims to clarify the procurement strategy related to the replacement of existing outsourced ICT services and engage potential suppliers in understanding future opportunities. Interested suppliers must register by the engagement end date of 9th January 2020.

This tender provides significant opportunities for firms specialising in IT services, computing equipment, and those aligned with cloud-first principles. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) are encouraged to participate. The upcoming engagement day offers a platform for businesses to learn about future procurement opportunities, allowing them to position themselves effectively in a multi-supplier model as NHS England transitions its ICT services.

Notice Title

Future Service Programme Supplier Engagement Event

Notice Description

This is a notice to invite interested Suppliers to attend a Supplier Engagement Day where we will provide information on our IT transformation programme as well as the future opportunities associated with the programme. Additional information: "NHS England via the Future Services Programme (FSP) will replace its existing outsourced ICT services on a phased basis over the period up to 2021 based on an in-house SIAM model. The existing ICT landscape is varied. With over 12,000 users of ICT and representation across 5 consuming healthcare family organisations the current services are underpinned by two expiring incumbent supplier contracts. With the Service Desk procurement currently live in the marketplace, FSP is preparing to re-procure the remaining elements of its ICT services, disaggregating its existing services and replacing them with a multi-supplier model. Key GDS and CCS principles such as Cloud First and purchasing via frameworks will be core to FSP's procurement approach with the core services to be procured being Networks, End User Computing, Hosting, Managed Print, Unified Communications and Application Support. A supplier engagement event is being planned for Tuesday 19th November 2019 for prospective suppliers to gain a deeper understanding of the Authority's objectives and future requirements, the opportunities which this Programme offers, the existing application and infrastructure estate and an outline of planned timescales including the transition of services. The event will be held in Leeds and suppliers and will commence at 10am. To register your interest in the FSP Supplier Engagement Day or to find out more about the Future Service Programme please contact the Programme by registering on our eSourcing Portal, Bravo at the below link and searching for PQQ_86 - Future Service Programme Supplier Engagement Event.
