Notice Title
Yorkshire Cancer Research Evaluation service for Cancer Screening & Awareness Programme in Leeds
Notice Description
Yorkshire Cancer Research is dedicated to having the biggest impact on cancer in Yorkshire. People in Yorkshire are more likely to get cancer and more likely to die from it than most other regions in the country. We want to change this. Our goal is that at least 2000 fewer people in Yorkshire will die from cancer every year by 2025. We are seeking to commission an evaluation specialist to undertake 1) an evaluation of the implementation of the programme using both qualitative and quantitative techniques (the programme evaluation) and 2) a health economic evaluation for a programme of work that we are funding Leeds City Council to deliver. The aim of the programme is to increase cancer screening uptake across all three national programmes (bowel, breast and cervical) in Leeds by working with local Primary Care Networks (PCNs), including GP practices. This programme will support the citywide strategy as defined within the city Health and Wellbeing strategy to improve the health of the poorest the fastest and to narrow the gap in screening uptake between the most and least deprived GP practices in Leeds. The purpose of the evaluation is to: Determine the effectiveness of the programme's interventions against our programme outcomes (Appendix 1) Assess the cost effectiveness of the programme. Offer any recommendations that may subsequently improve the programme's delivery in the future and improve the programme's costs effectiveness. Additional information: ITT documents can be downloaded by registering an interest in this opportunity on the NHS Sourcing portal below.
