Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process managed by Incommunities Limited involves the provision of temporary scaffolding handrails to failing concrete balustrades and walkways in residential blocks, aiming to ensure safety until permanent solutions are implemented. This project falls under the construction work category and is located in Bradford, England. The procurement follows a "selective" method, specifically a restricted procedure, and was initiated through a tender process. The contract, awarded to Ingleford Scaffolding Limited, commenced on 6th July 2026 and will run through to 5th June 2029. Contracted on a JCT Measured Term basis for an initial term of 12 months, it includes potential extensions up to 2029, without guaranteeing volume but expecting annual orders up to £200,000. Key project areas include multiple high-rise blocks at locations such as Kelvin House and Ogden House.

This contract presents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in scaffolding, construction safety, and structural remediation, particularly those with small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) status. With an estimated contract value of £600,000, firms with the capability to design, supply, and maintain temporary scaffold solutions can leverage this project to gain a foothold in similar infrastructure works. The contract's dynamic nature, with an option for future extensions and additional tasks, further fosters growth for companies adept at managing complex logistical and structural work within residential settings. Access to the EN:Procure Dynamic Purchasing System provides an additional advantage for businesses looking to expand their service portfolio in the construction industry within the UK.
