Notice Description

The Employer requires the reconstruction of a surface water outfall. A general description of the works is given below, the items do not include all activities required and the Contractor is to allow for all works necessary. Works will involve the removal and reconstruction of the downstream 30m of the existing outfall. The works shall include the removal of the existing pipe, timber support and piles for a length of 30m. The new outfall is not a like for like replacement and care shall be taken to follow the new design precisely. The new structure will consist of hardwood piles, bearers and waling, to support a new section of 800mm diameter ductile iron pipe. The new outfall will be used with the other two existing outfalls to drain water from Brooklands Lake and the Teville stream.
