Notice Title
MOPAC Mental Health Service for Young Adults on Probation - Stakeholder Engagement Event
Notice Description
MOPAC is commissioning a mental health service for the Transitions to Adulthood Hub pilot. The Transitions to Adulthood Hub will be a holistic, trauma-informed service for 18-25 year olds on probation and 17 year olds transitioning from the Youth Offending Service to adult probation in Newham. The Hub will provide wrap-around support tailored to young adults' distinct needs and informed by maturity assessments. The aim of the pilot is to reduce reoffending, improve mental health and support young adults to make positive life choices. MOPAC is interested in commissioning a tiered-approach, multi-systems mental health service for the Hub to meet the full spectrum of mental health and neurodiversity needs amongst young adults on probation. We are interested in exploring models which involve NHS governance/oversight with delivery led by the Voluntary Community Sector. We are keen to embed a psychologically-informed approach across the Hub, with mental health professionals co-located in the Hub to provide clinical supervision and offer guidance and support to practitioners. This market warming event will shape our approach to commissioning and provide an opportunity for potential providers and broader stakeholders to comment on the service and ask any questions about the upcoming procurement. The event is taking place on Thursday 18 March at 11.30-1. Please email Roisin Briody, Transitions Hub Manager, to join the event: roisin.briody@mopac.london.gov.uk
