Notice Title

HAC5720 Integrated Statutory Advocacy Service

Notice Description

It is the Council's intention to procure an integrated service that brings together three statutory advocacy services within a single contract, to be delivered by a single provider (or lead provider). The services in scope are: * Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy (IMCA) Introduced as part of the Mental Capacity Act, 2005. This gives people who have an impairment, injury or a disability that has meant they are unable to make a specific decision for themselves, the right to receive independent support. * Care Act Advocacy (CAA) The Care Act, 2014 places duties on local councils to involve people in decisions about their care and support. An advocate helps individuals, understand their choices, and supports individuals on decisions about their care needs. * Independent Health Complaints Advocacy Service (IHCAS) The Health and Social Care Act 2012 - supports people who want to make a formal complaint about the care and/or treatment they have received using the NHS Complaints Procedure. Additional information: For avoidance of doubt this is not a call for competition at this stage, the purpose is to advise the market on the forthcoming procurement of London Borough of Tower Hamlets Integrated Statutory Advocacy Services and seek feedback from the market that may inform the final specification. A virtual supplier engagement event will be held on Friday 5th February 2021 1000-1100 via Microsoft Teams.
