Soft Landscaping - Soft Landscaping - Parks
Notice Description
Overview: To cut back and top hedges to a neat and tidy finish, clearing all arisings from site and blowing any pathways or visible areas to a clean finish across a number of Parks in the borough. Schedule of Works: 1. To carry out heavy pruning as necessary to the top and sides of all hedges to maintain a neat and compact appearance. 2. Prune back excessive growth to hedges and bushes to prevent overhangs or encroachments over all grass, hard landscape areas, footpaths, driveways, roads, and sight-lines. 3. Cut back hedges and bushes to prevent encroachment over windows, doorways, signs, and light fittings. 4. Cut back hedges, shrubs, and bushes so as to provide pedestrian access to paths clear of vegetation overgrowth at all times. 5. Where plants have been damaged, cut back damaged areas to sound growth. 6. Remove all dead growth were evident. 7. Remove any dead or diseased hedging and report to Parks Manager as soon as possible for replanting decision. 8. Remove all arising from sites and blow paths and edges to clean and clear finish. Sites: An Excel spreadsheet of site locations with appropriate square meterage approx. per site will also be provided as an attachment to assist your evaluation. Please also provide a method statement of how you will go about these works, i.e., by manual labour with hedge cutters or mechanical (Note some sites are small and midi tractor with flail might not gain access) or a mixture of both. Your timescales for completion and full contact details of the team leader / manager on the ground level who will oversee the works on a day-to-day basis.
