Summary of the contracting process

The Royal Borough of Kingston, through Homes England, is seeking a Client Professional Advisor for a significant housing development project that aims to construct up to 160 new homes across various council-owned sites in London. The procurement is currently at the Tender stage, and businesses interested in this opportunity must submit their proposals by the deadline of 28th June 2019. This project falls under the category of Architectural, construction, engineering and inspection services, with a total budget of £1,200,000. The contract period is anticipated to commence on 13th August 2019 and extend until 17th August 2023.

This tender presents an excellent opportunity for businesses specialising in multi-disciplinary development services, particularly those that are small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) or voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs). Companies with expertise in construction management, engineering services, and architectural design are well-suited to compete for this contract. Participating in this project could not only generate immediate revenue but also establish long-term relationships with the council for future developments in the region.

Notice Title

Royal Borough of Kingston -Client Professional Advisor

Notice Description

Up to 160 new homes will be constructed across a range of council owned sites including vacant buildings, cleared land and parking / garages. Sites are mostly located in the HRA with several general fund sites which would need appropriation prior to delivery. Newly constructed homes will remain in the council's ownership as part of the HRA stock. To deliver the first phase of these new homes, the council is seeking a single development partner to provide the necessary multi-disciplinary expertise and resourcing. A separate committee report details the council's intention to appoint Countryside Properties as the Development Management Team ("DMT") as a variation to the wider CRE appointment. This is possible because the first small site homes are needed to provide decant accommodation which will enable the CRE project. Client Professional Advisor is sought to facilitate the required delivery of programme of works to support the development.
