Notice Title

(NU/1376) Provision of Services for a Cloud-Based Trusted Research Platform

Notice Description

The Connected Health Cities (North East and North Cumbria) Project - CHC NENC - requires a secure and trusted data environment within which to acquire, process, share and analyse health and care data/information from Hospitals, GP practices, community and social care settings, and 3rd sector organisations in the NE and North Cumbria. Central elements of the infrastructure to be procured are an ARK (i.e. an analytic platform providing a trusted research environment) and a Health Information Exchange (a middleware structure that will integrate and transmit data to and from all data nodes in the system). This proposed combination of an ARK and an HIE gives the project its name "ARCHIE". The ARCHIE project aims to provide proof of concept of key elements and information transfer nodes in this system, thereby facilitating the future vision of a region-wide Health and Care Information Services for the North East and North Cumbria. This future vision is widely known as the Great North Care Record (GNCR).
