Summary of the contracting process

The British Council, located at 10 Spring Gardens, London, is seeking a provider for a modern learning management system (LMS) as part of its initiative to enhance English language services for young learners. The procurement process, currently in the Award stage, follows an open procedure above threshold. The contract period is set to commence on 1 March 2021 and will last until 28 February 2023, with an allocated budget of £150,000. Interested parties should note that the tender pack is expected to be published early in the new year following the completion of a non-disclosure agreement (NDA), which must be returned by those wishing to participate. The deadline for submitting tenders is 8 February 2021.

Notice Description

The British Council delivers high quality English language services to its customers, with face-to-face, online and remote learning options. In addition to its established network of Centres, Branches and Off-site locations, the British Council plans to expand it footprint via a more agile, flexible and efficient use of digital channels, with an easy in and easy out approach, following customer catchment areas, and thereby catering for our customer's increasing need for convenience. In order to take advantage of both new and existing business opportunities, the British Council needs to ensure it has a modern learning management system (LMS), that can be fully integrated into a unified eco-system. The LMS must be able to support and deliver on-line learning content and greater access to managing learning, all of which will help the organisation achieve its aspiration of placing the customer at the heart of everything we do. The British Council is publishing an NDA at this time, with the intention that we will publish the tender pack in the new year. Please note that British Council staff are mostly away from the office for the upcoming Christmas period, and so queries will be picked up w/c 4 January. In the meantime please complete and return the NDA, we will then be able to share the tender pack as soon as it is available. Additional information: Please register an account on our procurement portal in order to download and complete the NDA. Please note that there is limited team capacity over Christmas so queries will be picked up on 4th January.
