South East Statutory Reservoir Inspections - Expression of Interest
Notice Description
The Environment Agency is the Undertaker for 40 high-risk operational Large Raised Reservoirs (LRR) that are located within the South East of England. It is a legal requirement under the Reservoirs Act 1975 to have a Supervising Engineer appointed and be available 'at all times' for each reservoir. The scope of works are listed below: * To provide Supervising Engineer (SE) services to undertake statutory examinations in accordance with Section 12 including the production and submission of Statements. * To provide Inspecting Engineer (IE) services to undertake statutory inspections in accordance with Section 10 including the production and submission of reports and certificates. * To provide SE/IE services available to respond to emergencies at large raised reservoirs; to attend site inspections and to offer advice and guidance wherever necessary. * To provide advice and guidance where required to support our asset management improvements and reduce risk to public safety. The contract will run for two years between 1st February 2018 to 31st January 2020. Supervising Engineer services and Inspecting Engineer services will be required throughout the contract duration. To be compliant for this contract, suppliers will need to provide the following two certifications at the Invitation to Tender stage; 1. Your employee(s) Appointed Panel Certificate from Defra. 2. Your employee(s) Working in Confined Spaces training qualification certificate. Please confirm whether or not you wish to be tender included in the list by 15:00 Tuesday 7th November 2017 by submitting your response, through Bravo, to the Commercial Lead by the above deadline.
