Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process titled "The Croydon Cluster of Primary Schools" was initiated by Woodcote Primary School to collaboratively source catering services for eight independent schools located in the South East of England. This tender, classified under the CPV code for school meals, follows a selective procurement method and has an awarded value of £939,465. The contract spans from 1 April 2017 to 31 March 2022, with a tender submission deadline that closed on 28 November 2016. This collaborative approach aims to simplify the procurement process for both the schools and the bidding contractors.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses in the catering industry, particularly those specialising in school meal services. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are encouraged to participate, given the potential for providing individual lot pricing or a consolidated offer for all eight schools. Suitable businesses may include those with experience in delivering quality catering solutions in educational environments, capable of adapting to the specific needs of multiple organisations while ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety standards.
