Notice Title

OVERNIGHT VISTING SUPPORT SERVICE

Notice Description

Medway Council is looking to appoint an Overnight Visiting Support Service. This service is expected to operate overnight out of hours. Anticipated to be a predominantly monitoring service, this would at times be a reactive service which would aim to provide trauma-informed crisis response, advice and assistance and help defuse situations for people facing multiple disadvantages, including assistance to existing accommodation-based partner projects across night-time hours. The service will be required to visit a range of properties and locations. Working out of hours, the service would be expected to ensure the safety of their staff, whilst understanding the needs and risks of the client group and removing barriers to engagement. The service would be required to react and respond to crisis situations and calls for assistance direct from service users and services as appropriate. This will require very robust strategies from the provider, who will need to work in close partnership with other statutory and voluntary agencies as applicable, and also need to make sure that relationships with neighbours are managed effectively.
