Summary of the contracting process

The National Citizen Service (NCS) is currently planning the procurement process for the "NCS Programme Delivery" initiative, which aims to enhance youth education services across England. Interested organisations can express their interest via the NCS Supplier Portal. The NCS Trust, based in London, is inviting various partners to engage with them, with contract award and delivery preparations anticipated to begin in 2019. Key meetings with suppliers will likely occur during January and February 2018, during which more details regarding the scheme requirements will be provided.

This procurement opportunity offers significant potential for businesses that specialise in youth engagement, educational programming, and community development. Firms providing innovative solutions for youth services, particularly those that can demonstrate a strong understanding of social cohesion, mobility, and engagement, will be well-suited to participate. Companies interested in making a meaningful impact in local communities and contributing to the development of young people's skills may find this tender particularly appealing.

Notice Title

NCS Programme Delivery

Notice Description

NCS is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity open to all 16 and 17 year olds across local communities in England. It is a unique programme focused around fun and discovery. After an initial 2 or 3 weeks of full-time challenges and activities, participants spend between 30 and 60 hours committed to a social action project that benefits both young people and the communities they live in. After completing this programme, participants become members of the NCS movement and are given ongoing opportunities, support and rewards for making social action a habit for life. On this government backed programme, participants build skills for work and life, while taking on new challenges and adventures, making new friends, learning new skills and contributing to their community. NCS is designed to build confidence and prepare young people for their journey into adulthood. NCS intends to promote: Social cohesion: To bring our country together by building stronger, more integrated communities and fostering understanding between young people from different backgrounds. Social mobility: To build essential skills for life and work, investing in our country's future talent. Social engagement: To engage young people in social action in their communities and the democratic process, building their understanding of their responsibilities as citizens. NCS Trust will be seeking partners to help with delivery of the National Citizen Service programme for young people throughout England. The Trust anticipates contract award and delivery preparations begin in 2019. We are inviting expressions of interest from organisations to be part of our early engagement to inform the Trust's thinking and contracting approach to delivery of the Scheme. We are open to new solutions and will likely meet with suppliers in January and February 2018. Further details of the market engagement and the scheme requirements will be provided to suppliers that express interest. Additional information: Registration of interest should be made via the NCS Supplier Portal at https://ncs.bravosolution.co.uk. New users will be required to register.
