Notice Title

Town Hall Data Centre Plant Refresh

Notice Description

This contract is to install new air conditioning, with new management and alerting including smoke detection for the Darlington Town Hall datacentre. The existing cooling equipment was installed in 2010 and is working beyond it's supported service life. Although there is redundancy in the existing cooling, some of the chiller units are permanently out of commission and other are regularly suffering faults. The new solution will replace, add resilience and service life, and is correctly sized for our colling needs so will have reduced power consumption with consequent savings and environmental benefits. DCR have installed similar cooling at the secondary datacentre at Dunedin House and this is an opportunity to simplify support arrangements and reduce ongoing maintenance costs. This was procured via Direct Award via the HealthTrust Europe ICT Solutions 2023 Digital Technology Framework (ComIT 3 - Complete IT) framework.
