Summary of the contracting process

The Ministry of Defence is spearheading a planned procurement process under the title "Supply Chain Notice: BLD0277-02 24 Store Roof Remedials," focusing on refurbishment work within the construction industry. The project's location is the Portsmouth Naval Base in the South East of England, specifically targeting a Grade II listed building within a conservation area. The anticipated contract period spans from 1st March 2026 to 14th August 2026, ensuring compliance with The Building Regulations and Portsmouth City Council conservation requirements.

The focus on roof remedials offers specialised work that aligns with firms skilled in structural and roofing solutions. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) are particularly encouraged to compete, as there is suitability for these types of entities. With a project value of £500,000, businesses have the chance to enhance their portfolio by working with the Ministry of Defence in a regionally significant conservation area.
