Notice Description

Runnymede and Spelthorne are two separate Councils that are into partnership on a Joint Procurement and Management Agreement for the Councils' Asset Maintenance. The two Councils are among the eleven district councils within the Surrey County and together with Surrey County Council they provide local government services to over one million people. The Building Services department of Runnymede is responsible for managing the procured works contracts and services contracts for asset maintenance of both Councils. Runnymede Borough Council in partnership with Spelthorne Borough Council is seeking the services of a contractor to carry out improvement works in two shopping parades located in the Borough of Spelthorne Council that have suffered from many years of neglect which result in poor appearance thereby creating negative impression to shopper and deter interest in joining that particular retail community. The parades consist of a collection of shops, with many of them being independent stores and residential accommodation situated above the shops. The sites are: a) Clare Road Parade, Stanwell b) Woodlands Parade, Ashford The works include construction of additional car parking space, construction of footpath, construction of traffic table, repairs to manholes / concrete slabs, relaying of paved footpath, road resurfacing, installation of traffic bollards, etc. Additional information: This tender is to be completed electronically using the SE Shared Services Procurement eSourcing portal. https://www.sesharedservices.org.uk/esourcing/opportunities The SE Shared Services eSourcing portal provides a web-based tool that provides a simple, secure and efficient means for managing tendering and quotation activities reducing the time and effort required for both buyers and Potential Bidders.
