Notice Title

Pentagon Innovation Hub Operator

Notice Description

Medway Council has secured funding from the Government's Future High Street Fund to create a proposed 'innovation hub' and is looking to secure an operator of a new Innovation Hub/Incubation Space to assist local start-ups and scale ups to establish themselves and grow within Medway with the intention to support businesses and maintain them within Medway. The Innovation Hub/Incubation will attract a range of businesses not just start-ups which will give businesses the opportunity to collaborate with other like-minded companies sharing the facilities. It is intended that the Innovation Hub delivers coworking and incubator space aimed at creative and digital tech sectors alongside a business support scheme administered by the Council, or fully funded by the Council and operated by the Innovation Hub operator subject to negotiation. This proposition is similar to ones used elsewhere that allows for pre-starts to get the advice they need to become start-ups, take space and be given the advice and tools they need to succeed in business and continue to afford space and grow. As the Innovation Hub aims to offer high level of business support; it enables development opportunity for businesses and at the same time gives a boost to local economy, providing job opportunities for local residents.
