Summary of the contracting process

The Warwickshire Police & West Mercia Police Procurement & Contracts Department is initiating a tender for the Digital Services Resources Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS), aimed at supporting the Digital Services Programme. This process is classified under information technology services, and the procurement is currently active within the West Midlands region, United Kingdom. Interested suppliers must submit their tenders by 29 June 2020, as the DPS will operate for two years with possible extensions for an additional two 12-month periods, contingent upon the Contractor's performance and pricing value acceptable to the authority.

This tender offers significant opportunities for businesses, particularly those in the IT services sector, looking to expand their portfolio with public sector contracts. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) would be well-suited to compete, as the buying organisation is open to new suppliers joining during the procurement term. This flexibility, combined with the electronic nature of the DPS, creates a conducive environment for innovative digital service providers to engage and deliver valuable solutions to the Warwickshire Police and Crime Commissioner.

Notice Title

DIGITAL SERVICES RESOURCES DYNAMIC PURCHASING SYSTEM

Notice Description

The West Mercia Police & Crime Commissioner (the Authority) is to invite tenders for provision of Digital Services Resources via a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) to support the Digital Services Programme. Warwickshire Police and Crime Commissioner can gain access to this agreement as and when they require. A DPS is a system available to buying organisations and allows them to buy works, services and goods commonly available on the market. As a procurement tool, it has some aspects that are similar to an electronic framework agreement, however new suppliers can join during the term. It has its own specific set of requirements and it is run as a completely electronic process, and is set up under regulations as set out in Regulation 34 of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 The DPS will, once established, run for a period of 2 years plus 2 x 12 month extensions. This extension period shall be subject to: * The organisational requirements of the Authority. * The Contractor maintaining levels of performance which are acceptable to the Authority throughout the preceding contract period. * The Contractor offering levels of pricing and value which are acceptable to the Authority for the extension period The Authority reserves the right to curtail the period of the DPS at its discretion and will notify existing participants and the market more widely in accordance with the requirements of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015.
