Notice Title

Supply of a Research-Grade EEG System

Notice Description

Brunel University London (BUL) is seeking suppliers to provide a research-grade EEG System that meets the requested specification. The Potential Supplier will be expected to provide (or be able to provide access to) pre-sales technical advice and support, and have a good understanding of the key features and aspects of the equipment they are selling to the University. The Division of Psychology needs a modern and flexible EEG system to cater for both teaching and research needs. The Division is looking to purchase an EEG system with at least 128 EEG channels (gel-based) and at least 6 external channels for EOG, earlobe references, EMG, etc. The EEG System is expected to be an active system, without the need for online referencing. It needs to have the capacity of using traditional references such as linked earlobes. This machine must have the capacity to be used in hyperscanning setups, which means, splitting the system in at least 2 x 64 EEG channels or 4 x 32 EEG channels. The system will be used for Psychology experiments (teaching and research) and as such a trigger box (to register events with precise timing), and also an auditory and visual stimuli tracker for precise control of the trigger delays are expected. It is also expected that the system would have the capacity for monitoring other psychophysiological signals such as respiration, galvanic skin response, and temperature. It is expected that the system can be used to send triggers and stream online EEG data from Matlab. The University would like the EEG electrodes to be compatible with TMS. Additional information: The procurement documents will be available for unrestricted and full direct access, free ofcharge, from the Brunel e-Sourcing Portal when the opportunity goes live.
