Summary of the contracting process

Cornwall Council is currently engaged in the planning stage of the procurement process for the "Live-in Care and Support Service in Cornwall". This initiative aims to explore potential providers who can offer a quality live-in care and support service within the health and social work sector. Interested parties should respond by 22nd June 2021, engaging through the Council's Due-North system. The procurement process will centre around providers registered with the Care Quality Commission, specifically those experienced in delivering 24-hour live-in care.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses within the health and social care industry, particularly those specialising in home care services. Companies that are small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) or voluntary, community and social enterprises (VCSEs) would be particularly well-suited to compete. By participating in this soft market engagement, prospective providers can position themselves effectively for future formal procurement opportunities, assisting Cornwall Council in developing a robust business solution for live-in care services.
