Notice Description

The HLF South Cliff Gardens Project has installed new handrails to certain main routes and some (but not all) steps in the gardens. In February 2023, the Leader of the former Scarborough Borough Council requested the installation of handrails to the A19 steps which were not considered to be on a main route. An estimate of PS33k was provided by officers and on 8 March 2023 the Executive Management Team approved the installation of the handrails and the direct appointment of McCoy Engineering (Hull) Ltd. A budget code was provided by SBC Finance at the request of the Chief Executive. Additional information: This contract was award via the Council's Best Value Form process as per North Yorkshire Council's Procurement and Contract Procedure Rules
