Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process involves the Norfolk County Council seeking to establish a framework of external training providers for apprenticeship training services across various occupational areas throughout Norfolk and neighbouring counties. This is the fifth round of reopening the framework specifically for new applicants, with the contract period commencing on 2nd November 2018 and concluding on 22nd April 2022. The tender was formally completed on 1st November 2018, and it classified under the industry category of education and training services, with a specific focus on vocational training. The delivery will occur in the East of England, notably in Norfolk, with all proposals needing to have been submitted by the end date of the tender period on 1st November 2018.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses, especially those specialising in education and training services, vocational training, and higher education services. Small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) are particularly well-suited to compete in this process, given the emphasis on diverse training providers. Companies demonstrating expertise in apprenticeship training will find this an advantageous market to enter, aligning with regional skills development strategies and potentially contributing to growth by securing contracts within this established framework.
