Summary of the contracting process

NHS Supply Chain is conducting a procurement process for a non-exclusive framework agreement titled "Patient Assessment Devices." The purchasing organisation is based in London and the contract is related to the healthcare industry. The procurement method employed is an open procedure above threshold, with a tender period that concluded on 17 October 2019. The contract period spans from 1 April 2020 to 31 March 2024 and is expected to involve purchases valued at approximately £14,114,079, based on initial estimates. This project includes a diverse range of patient assessment devices such as blood pressure monitors and stethoscopes, applicable across various regions in the United Kingdom.

This tender presents significant growth opportunities for businesses, particularly those involved in the supply of medical devices, diagnostic equipment, and healthcare consumables. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) are encouraged to participate, as the framework is designed to support a wide variety of suppliers, not just larger corporations. Companies that can offer innovative and reliable healthcare solutions, alongside established products, may find this opportunity particularly advantageous as NHS Supply Chain seeks to enhance patient assessment capabilities across the UK healthcare system.
