Notice Title
East Suffolk digital trails and experiences pilot
Notice Description
East Suffolk Council Economic Development Team have been awarded funding through the Welcome Back Fund from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) to support the safe return to high streets and help build back better from the pandemic. This funding builds on the Reopening High Streets Safely Fund announced in May 2020 and forms part of the wider support government is providing to communities and businesses. As part of a wider programme of building back better projects that East Suffolk Council will be running between July 2021 and March 2022, we are looking to procure a digital trails and experiences solution. The digital solution should engage visitors and residents to explore East Suffolk's 12 major Towns and Villages. We would like to promote walking routes, trails, the individual towns character and assets and support an increase in footfall into the town centres to the benefit of all businesses. We are looking to pilot the digital solution in a minimum of 2 of our towns with a maximum of 12 town pilots. East Suffolk Council would like to explore all options for the digital solution to make it a new and exciting product for our towns residents and visitors to get involved in. We would therefore like to hear from digital experts to provide a vision of how this could be developed and functionally work. For example, we would welcome bids that are looking to develop any of the following or another creative solution: a native / hybrid / web app, a mobile friendly website, an audio tour guide, or hybrid approach. Likewise, we are open to suggestion as to what could be included within the digital solution, whether this be augmented reality, discovery trails, integrated local event listings, integrated public transport information, riddle puzzles, fitness statistics and more. In East Suffolk we are continually looking to stand out from the crowd! The responsibility for all aspects of the digital solution creation from refining the concept to designing the solution will the responsibility of the successful tender. Additional information: All communications and bids must be managed through the In-tend e-sourcing Suite. Any communication outside of the In-tend system, without express permission of the Authority, will be immediately rejected in accordance with the Authority's contract regulations. If there is any confusion about the opportunity, please seek clarification via the In-tend clarification process. Unless identified as a commercially sensitive question responses to questions will be published to all tenderers. If you encounter any problems with the submission of your tender, please contact support@in-tend.com or phone 0845 557 8079 / +44 (0) 114 407 006 In an emergency (where In-tend is not available only) please contact procurement@eastsuffolk.gov.uk After reading through this document please look at Part B- Response Pack. Make sure you complete all mandatory fields and that you sign the form at the end, ideally with an electronic signature, but if not possible handwritten is acceptable. Delivery Notes Please note that this project is a pilot for East Suffolk and if it were to be successful following an implementation review then additional funding may be available to expand the digital solution across all of our 12 key towns and villages after March 2022. Is a Recurrent Procurement Type? : No
