Summary of the contracting process

The British Business Bank, based in Sheffield, has recently completed a public procurement process titled "GB-Sheffield: fraud analytics." This contract, worth £1,600,000, falls under the fraud audit services category and involves identifying potential fraud indicators within the Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan Schemes (CBILS, BBLS, and CLBILS). The contract period commenced on 23 November 2020 and concluded on 1 June 2021. This procurement process was initiated through a tender, and the call-off contract has been awarded to PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP as part of the Crown Commercial Service's Management Consultancy Framework Two.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses that specialise in fraud analysis and consultancy services, particularly those that can provide expertise in evaluating risks within financial portfolios related to business interruption schemes. Companies with a background in financial services, data analytics, and audit services would be particularly well-suited to pursue similar contracts, as the attention to fraud prevention within the financial sector remains a critical area of focus. Engaging with such public procurement processes can facilitate business growth and expand the client base in a rapidly evolving market landscape.
