Notice Description

The works consist of repairs to the sides, soffits and arris' of beams and lintels forming the concrete frame at Plympton Fire Station and STC, Glenn Road, Plympton, PL7 2XT in order to address defects identified as part of a tactile inspection, hammer survey undertaken by John Grimes Partnership. The proposed works include but are not limited to the following items (in multiple areas):- 1. Cut back defective concrete; 2. Appropriately lap new reinforcing steel into the repair; 3. Undertake hand placed mortar repair in accordance with Fosroc specification. The above list is not exhaustive. The scope of works is fully defined in John Grimes Partnership Document Ref: 16412-SOFW It is essential that Plympton Fire Station and STC remain fully operational at all times. It is essential that the reinstatement works are completed in their entirety before the end of October 2020. The contractor is required to liaise carefully with the Contract Administrator to ensure that all parties are safe during the project.
