Notice Description

The Works will consist of the provision of labour, plant, materials and traffic management to carry out Specialist Surface Treatment Works, these works may include, carriageway and footway Proprietary Surfacing Works, High Friction Surfacing Works together with other associated works on both highway and non-highway sites at unspecified locations and ancillary installation of the roadmarking and roadstuds at various locations within the geographical boundary of the Council of the Borough of Kirklees and other Contracting Authorities. The Contractor may price One, or More or All Lots, as detailed below. there will be no limitation to the number of Lots awarded to any one Contractor. And regardless of which Lots are priced, ALL items must be priced in series 100 Preliminaries,1200 Road Markings, 5400 Labour and Plant and 5500 Restricted Working Hours/ Other Enhancements . The locations will be within the administrative areas of: * City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council - Lot 1 * The Borough of Calderdale Council - Lot 2 * Kirklees Council - Lot 3 * Leeds City Council - Lot 4 * City of Wakefield Metropolitan District Council - Lot 5 * City of York Council - Lot 6 * Barnsley Metropolitan Council - Lot 7 * Doncaster Metropolitan Council - Lot 8 * Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council - Lot 9 any other Local Authority (as defined in the Local Government Act 1972) within the Yorkshire and Humber Region. A map and list of the other Local Authorities permitted to use the framework agreement can be found in Appendix 1 of the Tender Documents.
