SUITABLE FOR SME's - Cambridge City Council is seeking to establish a construction consultants framework through which we can directly contract support to specify and aid in the delivery of small to medium size construction projects covering maintenance, repairs and new build projects up-to a works value of PS2m. It is planned to include the following Lots Role 1 - Engineers a) Civil & Structural Engineering, with Project management, for multi-storey and street level carparks b) Civil & Structural Engineering, with Project management, for housing projects c) Civil & Structural Engineering advice for civils and landscaping projects d) Civil & Structural Engineering advice general (to support planning, building control etc) Role 2 - Architects e) Architect (design) for Housing related projects f) Architect (design) for commercial buildings and complex projects g) Architect (design) for parks, open spaces and landscape projects k) CDM Principal Designer Role 3 - Employers Agent h) Employers Agent (Housing) i) Employers Agent general l) Clerk of Works Role 4 - Quantity Surveyors m) Quantity Surveyors - Housing (to provide technical support around specifications and cost control management role) n) Quantity Surveyors - Commercial (to provide technical support around specifications and cost control management role) o) Quantity Surveyors - general (to provide technical support around specifications and cost control management role) p) Building Surveyor Role 5 - M&E Consultants s) Mechanical & Electrical Engineers for Housing (domestic & Communal) t) Mechanical & Electrical Engineers for commercial buildings and plant rooms This Council is seeking to work with SMEs who directly employee staff with the above skills, along with an understanding of Public Sector Contracting and an appropriate local knowledge to ensure that each project's outcome are both logistically practical for the area and qualitatively desirable whilst ensuring Value for Money. Tenderers may only apply for one type of role, but may offer multiple lots within that role subject to demonstrating an in-house skill with the relevant experience. The Council intends to address it's multidisciplinary requirement for larger contracts through a separate process. As such, the council is running a local supplier event to discuss the framework requirements and structure along with the proposed form of contract and call-off mechanism. The event will take place on the 4th April 2019 at Cambridge City Football Club - 117 Station Road, Cambridge, CB24 9PH The morning session will start at 10:00am and finish at 12:30pm The afternoon session will start at 1:30pm and finish at 4:00pm.
