Notice Title

Compatiable Microflow Injector for existing iCAP Q ICPMS (Thermo Fisher)

Notice Description

We believe there is a sole supplier who can provide this item (Teledyne CETAC ). This notice is to validate the above understanding. If you can provide this system, please express interest. Currently, it is well established that single particle ICPMS can be used to determine the number and size of nanoparticles in standards however, problems arise with samples where the quantity of nanomaterials is unknown because appropriate dilution of sample is required such that the nanomaterials enter the ICP-MS singly and sufficient enter over the analysis time for a representative analysis of the rage of nanomaterials present. With existing equipment, an estimate has to be made and if this is too dilute the opportunity is lost however, using this system a range of flow rates can be used or a range of in-line dilution steps can be used for a small amount of sample greatly increasing the likelihood that a perfect dilution will be achieved with the added bonus that data can be collected proving that this is so (fewer counts with higher dilutions, appearance of duplet counts with lower dilutions).
