Summary of the contracting process

UK Shared Business Services Ltd procured a business process modelling platform as a software and information systems requirement. The platform is IBM Blueworks Live, with the procurement covering licences for use by the organisation and the potential purchase of additional licences during the contract term. This is a goods procurement rather than a software development or implementation services contract. The buying organisation is UK Shared Business Services Ltd, based at Polaris House in Swindon, England. The requirement was suitable for small and medium-sized enterprises. The selected supplier, Computacenter (UK) Ltd, is also classified as an SME. The delivery address is associated with postcode SN2 1FF in Swindon.

This procurement has been awarded and the tender is complete. Computacenter (UK) Ltd was awarded the contract on 3 August 2026 for £15,054 excluding VAT. The contract runs from 3 August 2026 to 2 August 2027, providing a 12-month call-off term. UK Shared Business Services Ltd used a selective mini-competition call-off from the G-Cloud 14 Framework Agreement. The maximum committed call-off value is £15,054 excluding VAT. The buyer may also use a non-committed contingency of up to £20,000 excluding VAT for additional IBM Blueworks Live licences, giving a total maximum call-off value of £35,054 excluding VAT. The tender submission deadline was 2 August 2026. The award was made to a single supplier.

This award demonstrates demand from UK Shared Business Services Ltd for a business process modelling platform based on IBM Blueworks Live licences. A credible supplier for a future requirement would need to provide, support or resell IBM Blueworks Live, manage licence supply efficiently and understand software call-off arrangements through the G-Cloud framework. The requirement is principally for established commercial software rather than bespoke development, so relevant experience should include licensing, account administration, user access and customer support for business process modelling tools. Suppliers should also be able to accommodate changes in licence volumes, since the requirement included potential additional purchases during the contract term. The opportunity was considered suitable for SMEs, indicating that specialist software resellers or focused technology providers may be well placed to compete.
