Summary of the contracting process

Cornwall Council is initiating a public procurement process for "Alternative Education Provision for children who are unable to attend school due to medical/health needs." This is the second tender for this project, which follows an earlier attempt that was deemed insufficiently competitive. The current tender, classified under Education and Training Services and Health and Social Work Services, is an open procedure that invites interested providers to ensure high-quality, flexible education services for children. The tender period will close on 10th January 2022, with the contract set to commence on 1st September 2022 and continue until 31st August 2030.

This opportunity presents a significant chance for businesses, particularly those specialising in educational and educational support services, to engage in a partnership approach with Cornwall Council. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) are particularly encouraged to apply, as the Council aims to foster a diverse range of providers. The successful tenderers will be expected to contribute innovatively to educational experiences, ensuring that they cater to the specific needs of young learners in Cornwall, thereby enhancing their growth and community integration.
