Southend Drug and Alcohol Treatment and Recovery System Market Engagement

Notice Description

Southend Drug and Alcohol Commissioning Team (Southend DACT), on behalf of Southend-on-Sea Borough Council, are seeking views from key stakeholders about the drug and alcohol prevention, treatment and recovery system it should commission across the Borough from August 2017. Our consultation thus far has led to recommendations about potentially breaking up current large contracts into smaller specialist lots and altering considerably the current modes of delivery. As a provider in the sector we would value your contribution to help us finalise the shape of our imminent procurement process through sharing your expert views and informing us of your interest in potentially bidding to be part of Southend's future by filling in the survey which can be found here: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/2P5YD8F A procurement exercise is due to commence in March 2017 in order to have a new contract in place for 1st August 2017. A Market Engagement Event has been arranged for 2pm on 28th February 2017, which will be held at Civic Centre, Southend-on-Sea and last approximately 2 hours. This session will provide an opportunity for the Council to present the proposed service model and gather feedback from the market. Providers will have an opportunity to propose solutions for innovative service delivery and ask questions about the tender process.
