Summary of the contracting process

The Tower Hamlets Council is initiating a procurement process for the "HAC5564 Domestic Abuse Casework and Hate Crime Casework Services" to enhance support for domestic abuse victims and hate crime victims in the borough. The procurement is currently in the planning stage, with a supplier market testing event scheduled for 31st October 2019 at Mulberry Place, London. Interested suppliers must RSVP by 28th October 2019. The procurement involves two lots: one focusing on domestic abuse casework valued at £526,500, and the other for hate crime casework valued at £58,500, amounting to a total of £720,000.

This tender presents significant opportunities for SMEs and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) that specialise in health and social work services, particularly those with experience in domestic abuse and hate crime. Businesses that can deliver comprehensive support services, including advocacy, emotional, and practical assistance for victims, will be strategically well-placed to compete for these contracts. Engaging with the Council during the market testing could further inform potential bidders about the specifications and nuances of the proposed services.
