Notice Description

Newport & Carisbrooke Community Council are seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified contractors / shopfitters to tender for alterations to and refurbishment of an existing retail unit to form a community hub at 64 High Street, Newport, Isle of Wight. The property is an existing two storey retail unit with a gross internal area of approximately 319m2. Alterations will provide exhibition spaces, meeting rooms, office accommodation and associated ancillary areas. The scheme includes the formation of a through floor opening in the existing first floor to create an atrium. Estimated contract value = PS333,000 Proposed issue of tender documents = 24/08/2022 Proposed return of tenders = 21/09/2022 Proposed start on site = 01/11/2022 Proposed completion = February 2023 Proposed contract = JCT Minor Works with Contractor's Design 2016 (MWD 2016) Please note expressions of interest must be registered before 12 Noon on Wednesday, 17th August 2022.
