Notice Description

To deliver training, which will equip eligible 16-29-year olds who are not in employment, education or training (NEET) across the Black Country to achieve CSCS accreditation (Level 1) To prepare participants for the Health Safety & Environment (HS&E) Test. The following areas should be covered in order for the individual to successfully pass the test: Course should cover a range of topics such as, but not limited to: o Introduction to Course o Health and Safety o Hazards on Site o Identifying risks o Risk Assessments o Work Related Injuries o Implications of Accidents o RIDDOR o Working at Heights (Definitions and Case Studies) o Employee Responsibilities whilst working at heights. o Controlling Risks o Manual Handling/ Why this needs to be safe. o Potential Injuries o Practical tasks: Safe Kinetic lifting Equipment. o Employees responsibilities and Site safety equipment. o Risks to Health in the Construction Environment. o COSHH o Asbestos o Personal Protective Equipment o Fire Safety o Test Practice o Questions based on topics o Plant Equipment and Safety o Identifying main hazards/risks o Method statements o Hazard warning/ Signs and symbols o Test Practice o Revision Exercises o Test o Complete Course Evaluation Forms o Certificate upon Completion Please Note: Service Providers should support participants in applying for and securing their CSCS card. Individuals who take their CSCS test will receive a Certificate immediately after their test, telling them whether they have passed or not. When individuals have passed their CSCS test, The training provider will apply for the CSCS Cards. These usually take around 3 to 4 weeks to be processed and returned at which point they will be distributed as appropriate. Course Delivery The above course must be delivered in groups, with minimal numbers (4 Clients minimum), either face to face or online. Retests should be offered to participants at no extra cost, and this should be factored into price.
