Notice Title

Market Engagment for Provision of handheld Radioisotope Identification Devices

Notice Description

The Home Office wishes to hold a market engagement event to inform its procurement strategy and assist with understanding the capabilities that exist in the market for its potential requirements for the provision of handheld Radioisotope Identification Devices (RIDs). This equipment will be operated as a component of a larger, nationwide, fixed and mobile Radiological and Nuclear (RN) detection and deterrence capability, to detect and deter the illicit importation of RN materials at the UK border. The Home Office seeks to engage with potential providers for their views on the replacement of the RIDs. Ideally the equipment will be operational before mid-2021. At the event there will be an opportunity for prospective providers to register for follow up 1:1 sessions. We would therefore like to offer suitably interested prospective suppliers the opportunity to attend the event to be held at 14:00 to 15:30 on 4th December 2019 at 10 St Bride Street, London, EC4A 4AD.
