Summary of the contracting process

The Crescent Purchasing Consortium, through its agent Northern Procurement Group Limited, has established a Framework Agreement for Employee Screening Services located across the UK. The Framework, titled "Employee Screening Services Framework," encompasses two lots: Lot 1 for Disclosure Barring Services and Lot 2 for Employee Screening Services One-Stop-Shop. The procurement process is currently at the award stage, with contract awards made on 24th October 2017, and a contract period commencing on 6th November 2017, extending until 5th November 2021. The procurement method employed was an open procedure, allowing participation from various public sector bodies, including central government entities and local authorities.

This framework presents significant opportunities for businesses in recruitment and screening services to expand their operations within the public sector. Companies that specialise in human resources, background checks, and employee verification are particularly well-positioned to submit competitive tenders. With the framework open to public sector bodies, businesses can secure long-term contracts and establish a presence within the growing market for employee screening services across the UK.
