Summary of the contracting process

The NHS South Yorkshire Procurement Service is conducting a tender for the procurement of Community Carpal Tunnel & Hand Surgery Services, aimed at practitioners providing care to patients aged over 18 within the Bassetlaw CCG area. This initiative falls under the category of Miscellaneous health services and is currently in the Tender stage. The deadline for submission is 8 June 2018, following the publication date of 4 May 2018. Successful providers will offer a range of services, including surgical and follow-up care for conditions such as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and Trigger Finger, utilising the Any Qualified Provider (AQP) procurement method.

This tender presents a valuable opportunity for healthcare providers, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) with expertise in hand and wrist surgery. Businesses that specialise in outpatient surgical care or possess the capability to deliver comprehensive patient management within a community setting will find this tender particularly well-suited for growth. The successful provision of these services could potentially expand the scope of care in the Bassetlaw area, thus enhancing market presence and fostering partnerships with local healthcare practices.
