Notice Information
Notice Title
GIS Services
Notice Description
The South Downs National Park Authority recognises it requires additional GIS expertise to complete projects undertaken each year by the National Park. The breadth of GIS expertise required is considerable and the contractor is expected to have a number of suitably qualified persons to call upon to provide these expert services. It should be noted the GIS expertise required is not just written or verbal advice but will include a considerable amount of production output, requiring hands on expertise using the National Parks Authority GIS. We currently operate both ESRI Arc and QGIS products. Specific work packages will result from the submission of job requests from staff members, priorities for such work will be determined by the Research and Evidence Officer. Work will span most departments in the National Park Authority including Planning Policy, Planning Development and Countryside Policy and Management. South Downs National Park Authority anticipates this expertise will require approximately 3 days a week over the life of the contract (equating to 156 days during each year), although the actual days per month will need to vary to meet the peaks and troughs of demand. We would also like the facility to 'buy in' additional days should the need arise, submissions should include potential costs for these additional days. It is vital to the National Park Authority that the majority of these days are spent on site at their various offices. Additional information: Is a Recurrent Procurement Type? : No
